COMPTIA LINUX +
Introduction
CompTIA Linux+ certificate programs prepare individuals to install, maintain, secure and troubleshoot systems running the Linux operating system. Students learn to use command lines, configure hardware, manage files , Linux distributions, installation, administration, X- Windows, networking, security and encrypt Linux systems.
Course Objectives
This course is intended for students who want to learn about the Linux operating system and prepare to pass the Linux+ certification exam from CompTIA (Powered by LPI). By passing CompTIA exams LX0-101 and LX0-102, candidates is enables to become certified in LPIC-1 as well, enabling further participation in the LPI program.
Exams
In order to achieve the CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI certification, the candidate must successfully pass two exams:
LX0-101 which covers system architecture; Linux installation and package management; GNU and Unix commands; devices, Linux file systems, and file system hierarchy standards.
LX0-102 which covers shells, scripting and data management; user interfaces and desktops; administrative tasks; essential system services; networking fundamentals; and security
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of computer and computer operating systems and also knowledge of
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ certification.
